Voyce McWilliams
"The little lady with the BIG voice"
Meet Voyce McWilliams —“The Little Lady with the BIG Voice”
Voyce McWilliams is an independent pop singer-songwriter, performer, wife, mother of six, and survivor whose story is about far more than music. Originally from a small town in New Jersey and now residing in Georgia, Voyce has spent much of her life proving that the circumstances you are born into—and the challenges you encounter along the way—do not have to determine how far you can go.
Music has been a part of Voyce’s life for as long as she can remember. As a little girl, she discovered her love for singing while listening to artists such as Mariah Carey, grabbing a hairbrush, standing in front of the mirror, and imagining herself performing onstage. That childhood passion grew through singing on church praise teams, participating in local talent shows, and dreaming of one day becoming a professional recording artist.
But behind the powerful voice and infectious personality is a story of perseverance that many people may never see.
Voyce was born with Phenylketonuria, better known as PKU, a rare inherited metabolic condition that affects the body’s ability to properly process phenylalanine, an amino acid found in many common foods. PKU is a lifelong condition that typically requires careful dietary management, specialized nutrition, regular monitoring, and an awareness of food that most people never have to think twice about.
For someone living with PKU, something as ordinary as eating a meal can require planning and discipline. The condition does not simply disappear with age. It becomes part of everyday life—a challenge that can often be completely invisible to the people around you.
Yet Voyce has never wanted PKU to define what she is capable of becoming.
Instead, she wants her life to demonstrate what is still possible.
Voyce hopes that sharing her journey can bring encouragement to children and adults living with PKU, as well as anyone navigating a lifelong chronic condition, rare disease, or hidden disability. She understands what it is like to carry challenges that other people cannot immediately see, and she wants others living through similar circumstances to know that their diagnosis does not have to become the limit placed on their dreams.
Her journey of resilience would be tested even further in adulthood.
In her early 30s, Voyce survived two strokes—an extraordinary and frightening experience, particularly at an age when stroke is far less common than it is among older adults. Rather than allowing those experiences to end her pursuit of music and the life she envisioned for herself, Voyce fought her way forward.
She recovered. She persevered. And she came back with an even greater appreciation for life, family, music, and the opportunity to use her voice.
Today, being a stroke survivor is another chapter in Voyce’s story—not the ending.
Her experiences have given deeper meaning to the messages she shares through her music: authenticity, confidence, perseverance, self-acceptance, and refusing to allow life’s obstacles to decide who you are going to become.
That message can be heard clearly in her debut single, “I’m Just Me,” an upbeat pop anthem centered around embracing who you truly are rather than changing yourself to satisfy the expectations of others. Voyce continued her musical journey with “Better Together” and expanded her sound and confidence even further with her 2026 single “Do It Like Me.”
Each release represents another step in a dream that began with a little girl singing into a hairbrush—and continued through circumstances that could easily have convinced her to give up.
But Voyce didn’t.
Away from music, the titles Voyce treasures most are wife and mother. She and her husband have built a life together while raising their six children—three boys and three girls. Balancing motherhood, marriage, health, everyday responsibilities, content creation, performing, and building an independent music career is not always easy, but family remains at the center of her world.
Her husband has also been one of her strongest supporters throughout her musical journey, encouraging her to continue pursuing the dream she has carried since childhood.
Voyce has built her largest social media community on TikTok at @voyce89, where followers have come to know much more than simply the singer behind the microphone. Through live performances, music, conversation, humor, positivity, and genuine interactions with her audience, Voyce has created a community centered around good energy, encouragement, laughter, and supporting one another.
She wants people to leave her presence feeling better than when they arrived.
That connection has allowed Voyce to meet supporters who have followed her journey online, including experiencing the special milestone of her first in-person meet-and-greet with longtime followers. For an independent artist who began with a dream of simply being heard, those moments serve as reminders that music can create genuine relationships far beyond a song.
And Voyce is only getting started.
Her goal isn't simply to become known for having a powerful voice. She wants her platform to stand for something.
She wants the child growing up with PKU to see someone who shares their condition pursuing her dreams.
She wants the person living with a chronic illness to know that their life still holds possibilities.
She wants someone with a hidden disability who feels misunderstood to know that being unseen does not mean their struggle is insignificant.
She wants the stroke survivor rebuilding their life to remember that their story can continue.
And she wants anyone who has ever been told—by circumstances, by other people, or even by themselves—that their dream is too far out of reach to reconsider what may still be possible.
Voyce McWilliams is living proof that strength does not mean never facing hardship. Sometimes strength is waking up, facing what life has handed you, and choosing to keep going anyway.
Through every challenge, Voyce continues to sing.
She continues to create.
She continues to dream.
And most importantly, she continues to be exactly who she is.
Voyce McWilliams — the little lady with the BIG voice, an even bigger heart, and a story that is still being written.
